1970s

Started from $30

  • 1973: Arrived in Edmonton, Canada with $30. 
  • Younas Chaudhary took a variety of jobs to survive in a new country and learn the ropes driving a taxi, working as a security guard, selling door to door pots and pans, and becoming a car salesman.
  • Built mindset: hard work + common sense. 

1980s – The Oil & Gas Era

Striking Black Gold

  • Entered the oil and gas industry, acquiring oil leases in Kansas and later in Texas.
  • Hired first geologist to scout oil & gas deals. 
  • Learned leadership, specialization, and created a community connection. 

1990s – The Expansion

Land Is Legacy

  • Bought 10 acres near Rankin Rd & I-45, Houston. 
  • Diversified into real estate through State Venture LLC, acquiring commercial office buildings, retail centers, residential homes, and farmland across Texas and other states. 
  • Emphasized patience and vision. 

2000s The Community

Building Faith & Foundations

  • Built Baitul Samee Mosque (Houston), on a 5 acre site opened in 2001.

2010s – The Resilience

Caregiver’s Journey

  • 2014: Became caregiver for wife diagnosed with Parkinson’s.  
  • 2019: Published memoir ‘From Dirt Roads to Black Gold’ and authored “Path to Wealth & Wisdom,” 
  • Emphasized patience, risk management, and empathy. 

2020s – The Wisdom

Common Sense

  • 2020: Launched blog series on business insights. 
  • Expanded YBC Foundation reach. 
  • Focused on legacy, mentoring, and wisdom-sharing. 
  • 2025 Restructuring of YC Foundation to create a grander vision of helping community members in memoriam of Bushra Chaudhary and her legacy.
